By train

The easiest way to come to Liège is to reach the Lièges-Guillemins station, which is connected to many train lines from Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France or the UK. Information regarding timetables, route planning, fares, booking and more, can be found on the website of the national Belgian railway company (SNCB/NMBS).

Once you reached the station, the city center (where the conference will take place) is accessible by foot (25-30 minutes) or through public transport (bus lines 1, 4 or 48, tramway line 1). The fare is about 2 euros. More info on this website.

By car

There are many motorways that lead to Liège (E40, E25, E313). Parking lots (not free) are available within the city center (Charles Magnette, Cathédrale).

By plane

Many airports can be found not too far from Liège:

• Liège airport is located a few miles North-West of the city, but offers a limited number of connections;
• Brussels airport is the biggest and easiest to reach from far away ;
• Maastricht airport is in the Netherlands, but quite close to Liège ;
• Charleroi-Brussels airport offers many low-cost options.
